Joan is a curator, artist representative and advocate for the arts dedicated to helping artists promote their work to new audiences and collectors through galleries, public spaces, pop-up shows and new art venues.
Prior to her involvement as an organizer and promoter of ArtEast, Joan was the co-owner of Elisa Tucci Contemporary Art in New York, a virtual gallery and art space that exhibited emerging and mid-career American and International Artists in exhibits and art festivals across the country. The gallery’s mantra was “Changing the World through Art” with a percentage of sales going to non-profit organizations involved with healing disadvantaged and abused children through arts education and creative experiences.
Joan is currently focused on connecting the dots and building relationships between art, business and philanthropy for community renewal and development. She is also a member of the 14th Colony Artists in Millerton, NY.
Joan currently serves on the Board of Ninos del Lago, an educational nature camp in Guatemala working with indigenous and at-risk children.
